R. D. Banerji identified Bhusawar with theVusāvaṭa mentioned in an inscription from nearbyBayana dated to 8 January 955. Among these revenue grants was a sum of threedrammas from themaṇḍapikā (marketplace) in Vusāvaṭa, possibly collected as anoctroi fee on every horse-load of goods brought to the town's marketplace.[2]: 121–2
