TheBahujan Mukti Party (BMP) is apolitical party inIndia launched on 6 December 2012.[1] Pravendra Pratap Singh is the national president of Bahujan Mukti Party.[2][3]

Merger proposal with Loktantrik Janata Dal

A merger withLoktantrik Janata Dal (founded on 6 December 2012) was proposed but was called off and was set up as a political wing ofAll India Backward (SC, ST, OBC) and Minority Communities Employees' Federation (BAMCEF).[4][5] Pravendra Pratap Singh is the current president of the Bahujan Mukti party.[2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12]

Bihar elections 2020

As of 2020, the party was preparing for the2020 Bihar Legislative Assembly election for which it formed alliance with former MPPappu Yadav, Chief ofBhim Army andAzad Samaj Party,Chandrashekhar Azad Ravan to formProgressive Democratic Alliance, but failed to secure any seat.[13][14]

Uttar Pradesh election 2022

Considered a smaller party in the2022 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly election,[15] the Bahujan Mukti Party has fielded its candidates in some areas including theMahoba and theAuraiya.[16][17]
