Andrei Merinov (born 23 June 1971) is a former professionaltennis player fromRussia.[1]
Merinov was a national junior champion in 1989 and turned professional at the age of 19.[2]
He and partnerVladimir Gabrichidze were doubles semi-finalists in the1992 Kremlin Cup.[2] At the same eventthe following year, Merinov reached the quarter-finals in the singles.[2]
The Russian lost toLionel Roux in the opening round of the1997 French Open.[2] It would be his onlyGrand Slam appearance.[2]
He won threeChallenger titles during his career and was a doubles runner-up on no less than 10 occasions.[2]
