Alberto Benito Correa (born 13 June 1992) is a Spanish professionalfootballer who plays as aright-back forReus FCR.
Born inAltafulla,Tarragona,Catalonia, Benito finished his development atGimnàstic de Tarragona.[1] He made his senior debut forthe farm team in2010–11, in theTercera División.
Benito was promoted toNàstic's first team inSegunda División B on 10 July 2012.[2] On 23 July 2013, he signed a two-year deal withSporting de Gijón B of the same league after his contract expired.[3]
On 7 July 2015,free agent Benito agreed to a two-year contract withCF Reus Deportiu, still in the third division.[4] He contributed 30 appearances (all as a starter) duringthe season as the club achieved promotion toSegunda División.[5]
Benito made his professional debut on 20 August 2016, starting and scoring inthe last minute of a 1–0 away win againstRCD Mallorca.[6] He played a further 30 matches until the end ofthe campaign, helping to an 11th-place finish.[5]
On 13 June 2017, Benito joinedReal Zaragoza on a two-year deal.[7] On 28 June 2019, he signed with fellow second division sideAlbacete Balompié for two seasons.[8]
Benito split2021–22 in the newly createdPrimera División RFEF, withDeportivo de La Coruña andCultural y Deportiva Leonesa.[9]
