Bemita Elgueta Saldias, better known by herring nameAkari (sometimes stylized in capital letters asAKARI), is aChileanprofessional wrestler currently performing in the JapanesepromotionPure-J where she is a formerPrincess of Pro-Wrestling Champion.[3][4]
Due to partially working as a freelancer, Saldias competed in several companies of theJapanese independent scene. At ahouse show produced byWorld Woman Pro-Wrestling Diana on September 15, 2019, she teamed up with Leon and fell short to Crysis (Ayako Sato andJaguar Yokota).[5] AtJTO Hatsu, an event promoted byProfessional Wrestling Just Tap Out on January 14, 2020, she teamed up withTomoka Inaba to defeat May Lee and Crea.[6] AtWAVE Survival Dance ~ Regina Challenge, an event promoted byPro Wrestling Wave on October 24, 2022, she competed in a contendershipbattle royal for theWave Single Championship won byYuki Miyazaki and also involving many other notable opponents such asAyame Sasamura,Hibiscus Mii,Itsuki Aoki,Miyako Matsumoto,Sakura Hirota,Rina Amikura,Yuko Sakurai and many others.[7] AtIce Ribbon New Ice Ribbon #1270, an event promoted byIce Ribbon on April 8, 2023, Saldias teamed up with Misa Kagura to defeatKaho Matsushita and Yuko Sakurai.[8]
Saldias made herprofessional wrestling debut inPure-J atPURE-J Bolshoi Retirement ~ Thank You!!, an event produced on April 21, 2019, where she teamed up withKazuki andRydeen Hagane in a losing effort against Manami Katsu, Mari Manji andYako Fujigasaki as a result of asix-woman tag team match.[9] During her time in the company, she chased for various championships promoted by it. AtPURE-J Pure Slam Vol. 1 on August 18, 2019, she teamed up withKaori Yoneyama to unsuccessfully challengeMakoto andMoeka Haruhi for theDaily Sports Women's Tag Team Championship.[10] She won her first title, thePrincess of Pro-Wrestling Championship by taking part in a tournament hosted to crown a new champion over the vacant belt. Saldias defeated Madeline in the semifinals andMomo Tani in the finals to win the championship atPURE-J Fight Together 2021 on February 7.[11] AtPURE-J Fight Together Vol. 2 on September 23, 2022, she unsuccessfully challengedYuu for thePure-J Openweight Championship.[12] She participated in various other match gimmicks. AtPURE-J Pure Slam Vol. 10 on December 1, 2019, she competed in acostume battle royal won by Moeka Haruhi and also involvingHanako Nakamori,Manami Katsu,Leon,Crea and others.[13]
Due to Pure-J holding business partnerships withSendai Girls' Pro Wrestling, Saldias regularly competes in various of the latter promotion's events. She made her debut in the promotion at ahouse show promoted on August 31, 2019, where she fell short toKaoru insingles competition.[14] At ahouse show from February 19, 2020, she unsuccessfully challengedManami for theSendai Girls Junior Championship.[15] Saldias took part in the 2020 edition of the Jaja Uma Tournament in which she fell short toMikoto Shindo in the first rounds from March 28.[16]
Another promotion in which she often competes isSeadlinnng, where she is known for seldomly evolving in "high speed" bouts. AtSEAdLINNNG 2021 Opening Match on November 1, she participated in this kind of bout, where she teamed up withIbuki Hoshi and unsuccessfully competed againstChikayo Nagashima andTsukushi Haruka, andKaho Kobayashi and Leon.[17] She also competed in other ordinary tag team matches, such as one fromSEAdLINNNG Shin-Kiba Series 2023 Vol. 2 on March 20, where she teamed up withAmazon and fell short to Las Fresa de Egoistas (Asuka and Makoto), andHiroyo Matsumoto andRyo Mizunami.[18]
