Adrian Edqvist (born 20 May 1999) is a Swedishfootballer who plays as aforward forÖstersunds FK.[1]
Edqvist was born in Karlskrona and started his career in Nättraby GoIF.[2] At the age of seven, the family moved fromBlekinge to the Spanish south coast and Edqvist then started playing atAD Las Lagunas, outsideMálaga.[3] During the years in Spain he enteredAndalusia's national team and was close to a move to theLa Liga clubMálaga CF shortly before the family returned to Sweden. After returning to Sweden, he joinedKarlskrona AIF[4] and in 2015 he joinedMalmö FF, who won the battle for his signature overKalmar FF and the Danish clubBrøndby IF.[3] In December 2015, he also went on a trial atStoke City.[5]
In 2017, Edqvist joinedKalmar FF fromMalmö FF where he played at his youth years. He was promoted to the first team squad of Kalmar FF in September 2017.[6] On 11 March 2019, Kalmar FF signed a cooperation agreementOskarshamns AIK and Edqvist alongside his teammateAlexander Ahl Holmström was loaned out to the club on the same day until 30 November 2019. The deal also made it possible to play in both Kalmar's A team and U21 teams while playing forOskarshamns AIK.[7]
On 12 July 2019, Edqvist was loaned out toEerste Divisie clubGo Ahead Eagles until June 2020.[8]
On 12 February 2021, he signed a three-year contract withJönköping.[9] In December 2022, Edqvist joinedGefle IF.[10]
