The2026 FIA WRC2 Championship is set to be the fourteenth season ofWRC2, arallying championship for organised and governed by theFédération Internationale de l'Automobile as the second-highest tier of international rallying. It is open to privateers and teams using cars complying withGroup Rally2 regulations.[1] The championship is planned to begin in January 2026 with theMonte Carlo Rally and would conclude in November 2026 with theRally Saudi Arabia, and runs in support of the2026 World Rally Championship.

TheCroatia Rally is due to return to the championship after being held as aEuropean Rally Championship event in 2025.

In detail

Lancia is due to return to theWorld Rally Championship with the brand-newLancia Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale, competing in the WRC2 category.[16] The team is operated byPH Sport, and signedYohan Rossel andNikolay Gryazin as their lineup, withArnaud Dunand andKonstantin Aleksandrov as their co-drivers.[17]

M-Sport confirmed thatRomet Jürgenson andSiim Oja will contest the category in 2026. Their program will coincide with the introduction of an upgrade package for theFord Fiesta Rally2.[18]

Scoring system

A team has to enter two cars to score points in an event. Drivers and teams must nominate a scoring rally when they enter the event and the best six scores from seven nominated rallies will count towards the final classification. Registered drivers are able to enter additional rallies with Priority 2 status without scoring points.
