IncumbentRepublican attorney generalJames Uthmeier was appointed to the seat followingAshley Moody's appointment to theU.S. Senate.[1] He is running for election to a full four-year term.[2]

Former Rep. Matt Gaetz, a Trump ally who at one point was seen as a potential rival for the state attorney general job...now says he has no plans to seek office next year.
