The2025 North Carolina Tar Heels football team represented theUniversity of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a member of theAtlantic Coast Conference (ACC) during the2025 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Tar Heels were led by first-year head coachBill Belichick. The team plays their home games atKenan Stadium.

Following the firing of head coachMack Brown after six seasons in charge,[1] assistantFreddie Kitchens was elevated to interim head coach.[2]

On December 11, 2024,Bill Belichick, former head coach of the NFL'sNew England Patriots, was hired as the 35th head coach in North Carolina program history.[3]
