The2024 Pennsylvania Democratic presidential primary took place on April 23, 2024, as part of theDemocratic Party primaries for the2024 presidential election. 186 delegates to theDemocratic National Convention were allocated to presidential candidates.[1]

IncumbentPresidentJoe Biden ran for re-election at the time, but laterwithdrew and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris.Dean Phillips, who suspended his primary campaign on March 6, 2024, was the only other candidate on the ballot.[2]

President Biden won every county.Protest votes for the withdrawn candidate Dean Phillips andwrite-in candidates combined for 12% of the vote.

IncumbentPresidentJoe Biden announced hisbid for a second term on April 25, 2023, four years after he announced his2020 campaign.[3] He held his first official campaign rally inPhiladelphia on June 17, touting the successes of hiseconomic policy.[4]
