The2024 Delaware gubernatorial election was held on November 5, 2024, to elect thegovernor of theU.S. state ofDelaware, concurrently with the2024 U.S. presidential election, as well aselections to theUnited States Senate, elections to theUnited States House of Representatives, and variousstate and local elections. IncumbentDemocratic governorJohn Carney wasterm-limited and could not seek re-election to a third term in office.[a] Primary elections took place on September 10, 2024, in which DemocraticNew Castle County ExecutiveMatt Meyer andRepublican state representativeMike Ramone won their parties' nominations.[1]

Meyer comfortably won the election, albeit by the closest margin since2004. Meyer's 56% of the vote is the lowest for the Democrats since that election, while Ramone's 44% is the highest since for Republicans.
