The2022 Imola FIA Formula 3 round was a motor racing event held on 23 and 24 April 2022 at theAutodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari,Imola,Italy. It is the second round of the2022 FIA Formula 3 Championship, and is held in support of the2022 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.

Driver changes

Multiple driver changes took place for the second round at theImola Circuit. Trident driverJonny Edgar pulled out of the championship after being diagnosed withCrohn's disease and was replaced by former HWA Racelab driverOliver Rasmussen.[1]

Federico Malvestiti returned to the championship after a year's absence, replacingNiko Kari at Jenzer Motorsport.[2]

Charouz Racing System driverAyrton Simmons vacated his seat and was replaced byDavid Schumacher, who previously raced with the team in2020.[3]

ART Grand Prix fielded only two cars at Imola, asJuan Manuel Correa was forced to miss the event due to a foot injury.[4]

Qualifying took place on 22 April 2022, with BarbadianZane Maloney taking his maiden pole position forTrident.[5]
