The2020 West Virginia State Treasurer election was held on November 3, 2020, to elect thestate treasurer of West Virginia. IncumbentDemocratJohn Perdue lost re-election to a seventh term toRepublican nomineeRiley Moore, who won 48 out of 55 counties. Primary elections were held on June 9. Perdue and Moore both won their primaries unopposed.
This was the first time since W. S. Johnson's victory in 1928 that a Republican was elected to the West Virginia state treasurer’s office.[1]
