It was the 38th edition of the event known as theABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament, and was part of theATP World Tour 500 series of the2011 ATP World Tour. It took place at theRotterdam Ahoy indoor sporting arena inRotterdam, Netherlands, from February 7 through February 13, 2011. First-seededRobin Söderling won his second successive singles title.

The field was led by Australian Open finalistAndy Murray, Australian Open semifinalistDavid Ferrer and defending championRobin Söderling. Other players included World No. 10Jürgen Melzer and former top 10 playersIvan Ljubičić,Tommy Robredo, andMikhail Youzhny.
