Pete Sampras defeated the defending championBoris Becker in the final, 3–6, 7–6(7–5), 7–6(7–4), 6–7(11–13), 6–4 to win the singles tennis title at the 1996 ATP Tour World Championships. It was his thirdTour Finals title.[1]Andre Agassi withdrew after the first round robin match to be replaced byThomas Enqvist because of health issues.[2]
