Anadvisory referendum on joining theEuropean Union was held inFinland on 16 October 1994.^[1] 56.9% of voters approved of the proposal, with a voter turnout of 70.8%.^[2] Due to having its own customs jurisdiction, aseparate referendum was held inÅland a month later, and was also approved.^[3]

As of 2025, this was the most recent referendum in Finland.
