The1992 NFL draft was the procedure by whichNational Football League teams selected amateurcollege football players. It is officially known as the NFL Annual Player Selection Meeting. Thedraft was held April 26–27,1992, at theMarriott Marquis inNew York City, New York.[1][2] The league also held asupplemental draft after the regular draft and before the regular season.

The 1992 draft was notable because for the first time since1958 one team, theIndianapolis Colts, held the first two overall picks, selecting defensive endSteve Emtman and then linebackerQuentin Coryatt.[3] Neither made a major impact in the league, and the 1992 draft in retrospect is considered one of the worst in league history. It is the third draft following1984 and1943 to produce noPro Football Hall of Famers.[4] It was also the final NFL draft featuring twelve rounds of selections; the league would reduce the rounds to eightthe following season, and then seventhe year after that, where it has remained since.
