The1980–81 Kentucky Wildcats men's basketball team representedUniversity of Kentucky in the1980–81 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The head coach wasJoe B. Hall[2] and the team finished the season with an overall record of 22–6.[3] In the1981 NCAA Tournament Kentucky was upset by the University of Alabama at Birmingham 69–62 in the second round.
