Chris Evert andMartina Navratilova defeatedBillie Jean King andBetty Stöve in the final, 6–1, 3–6, 7–5 to win the ladies' doubles tennis title at the 1976 Wimbledon Championships.^[1] It was the onlyWimbledon doubles title and thirdmajor doubles title for Evert, and the first Wimbledon doubles title and second doubles major title for Navratilova.

Ann Kiyomura andKazuko Sawamatsu were the reigning champions, but Sawamatsu did not compete. Kiyomura partneredMona Guerrant, but they lost in the third round toLesley Charles andSue Mappin.
