NFL draft

[edit]

The1955 NFL draft was held on January 27–28, 1955. The draft lasted for 30 rounds, with 12 teams selecting 360 players. Because of a 7–4–1 record in the1954 season, the Eagles picked 8th in the odd rounds and 9th in the even rounds, alternating with theSan Francisco 49ers. The Eagles made a pick in every round.

The Eagles used their 1st round pick, 9th overall, to selectDick Bielski, a fullback fromMaryland.

Player selections

[edit]

The table shows the Eagles selections and what picks they had that were traded away and the team that ended up with that pick. It is possible the Eagles' pick ended up with this team via another team that the Eagles made a trade with. Not shown are acquired picks that the Eagles traded away.
