The1954 All-America college football team is composed ofcollege football players who were selected asAll-Americans by various organizations and writers that choseAll-America college football teams in 1954. The eight selectors recognized by theNCAA as "official" for the 1954 season are (1) the All-America Board (AAB), (2) theAmerican Football Coaches Association (AFCA), (3) theAssociated Press (AP), (4) theFootball Writers Association of America (FWAA), (5) theInternational News Service (INS), (6) theNewspaper Enterprise Association (NEA), (7) theSporting News (SN), and (8) theUnited Press (UP).

Wisconsin'sfullbackAlan Ameche won theHeisman Trophy in 1954 as the best player in college football and was a unanimous first-team selection by all eight official selectors. Three other players were unanimous choices among the official selectors:Notre Dame'squarterbackRalph Guglielmi;Ohio State'shalfbackHoward "Hopalong" Cassady; andArkansas'guardBud Brooks.
