The1942 Oklahoma gubernatorial election was held on November 3, 1942, and was a race forGovernor of Oklahoma.Democrat nomineeRobert S. Kerr defeatedRepublican nomineeWilliam Otjen. Edward W. Fickinger was also on the ballot representing theProhibition Party.[1]Gomer Griffith Smith andRobert Burns unsuccessfully sought the Democratic nomination.
