- put a string on a stream
#include <stdio.h>intputs(const char *s);
intfputs(const char *s,FILE *stream);
Theputs() function writes the string pointed to bys, followed by aNEWLINE character, to the standard output streamstdout (seeIntro(3)). The terminatingnull byte is not written.
Thefputs() function writes the null-terminated string pointed to bys tothe named outputstream. The terminating null byte is not written.
Thest_ctime andst_mtime fields of the file will be marked forupdate between the successful execution offputs() and the next successful completionof a call tofflush(3C) orfclose(3C) on the same stream ora call toexit(2) orabort(3C).
On successful completion, both functions return the number of bytes written; otherwisethey returnEOF and seterrno to indicate the error.
Refer tofputc(3C).
Unlikeputs(), thefputs() function does not write a NEWLINE character atthe end of the string.
