Theickey command is used to install WAN boot keys on arunning UNIX system so that they can be used the next timethe system is installed. You can store three different types of keys:3DES and AES for encryption and an HMAC SHA-1 key for hashedverification.
ickey reads the key from standard input usinggetpass(3C) so that itdoes not appear on the command line. When installing keys on a remotesystem, you must take proper precautions to ensure that any keying materialsare kept confidential. At a minimum, usessh(1) to prevent interception ofdata in transit.
Keys are expected to be presented as strings of hexadecimal digits; theycan (but need not) be preceded by a0x or0X.
Theickey command has a single option, described below. An argument ofthe type-o type=keytype is required.
Theickey command the following option.
Delete the key specified by thekeytype argument.
On success,ickey exits with status 0; if a problem occurs, adiagnostic message is printed andickey exits with non-zero status.
