Synopsis[]

Lord Hater accidentally recruits an alien hunter to help find his missing pet.

Plot[]

Through flashback, whenever Hater is once again thwarted, he returns home to the "loving" embrace ofCaptain Tim, his Arachnomorph pet. One day, Hater returns to discover that Captain Tim is missing. Distraught, he calls his Watchdogs to inform them of this and is surprised to learn that everyone is happy as they hated having Captain Tim around. Nevertheless, Hater goes out and puts up fliers to find Captain Tim and runs into Ripov, a lonely space warrior who has had a run in with the Arachnomorphs in the past. She agrees to go help him search for Captain Tim though she makes it obvious that her goal is to kill all the Arachnomorphs (Hater thinks she is a pet finder).

On Ripov's ship, she uses a DNA scanner to pick up traces of Captain Tim so that they can locate where he went. She tries to tell Hater that Arachnomorphs do not have feelings and that he left because it is mating season. During the mating season, all male Arachnomorphs are called upon to return to their home planet so that they can fight to the death and mate with the Queen. Her goal is to go there and kill them all before they can mate, though Hater refuses to believe that Captain Tim is capable of such a thing. They arrive on the planet where Captain Tim is fighting the other Arachnomorphs. Hater attempts to reunite with him, but Ripov stops him and they fall into the Queen's web.

Hater and Ripov are soon joined by Commander Peepers, Wander, Sylvia and Watchdog Tim (who earlier thought Hater was looking for him). Captain Tim arrives and just as it seems that he is to mate with the Queen, instead attacks her and saves everyone. Hater gloats over Captain Tim being loyal to him and Ripov admits that it is possible for bad things to become good, which Wander also believes. Captain Tim also warms up to Ripov and then tries to suck her heart out, though Hater stops him. The episode ends with Captain Tim leaping at the screen.

Continuity[]

• This episode serves as the sequel to "The Pet", following Captain Tim's death. The title card font from the episode also appears in this episode, but doesn't blow.
• The episode begins with scenes that happened after the events of "The Rider", "The Greater Hater" and "The Show Stopper".
• Ripov sees that Hater's arm is robotic due to the events of "The Hole...Lotta Nuthin'.
• Wander and Sylvia, indirectly, make good on their promise to return to help Lord Hater from the events of "The Waste of Time". However, their knowledge of this event was erased by the end of that episode, so their appearance her was merely a coincidence.
