Bayou Barb was hauling waffle irons
And skillets in her trunk
Along with mixers pots and pans
And other kitchen junk


The night was dark and stormy
She was going way too fast
Not knowing that that midnight shift
Was gonna be her last


Now coming up on Dead Man's curve
She hydroplaned, began to swerve
The car, it launched off of the curb
Into that old oak tree


The one thing that she never knew
A truck had spilt some toxic goo
In another single vehicle collision recently


Male Narrator(one line, spoken): And then there was a mighty lightning strike.


Then Barb, the tree, the toxic waste
And the kitchen stuff all interlaced
In one horrific medley
Of wood, and steel, and flesh


Barb was changed forever
But perhaps not for the better
Just a woman and her waffle iron
Forever intermeshed
