Roseanne Cherrie Barr is an American actress, voice actress, comedian, writer, television producer, director, and the2012presidential nominee of theCalifornia-basedPeace and Freedom Party. She was best known for her role as the titular character Roseanne Conner of theABC sitcomRoseanne from1988 to1997. After a two-decade hiatus, her show got a revival fromMarch 27 toMay 22 of2018. Unfortunately, it was then abruptly canceled again onMay 27 of that year following a controversial tweet that she had sent on Twitter that was deemed by many as coming off as racist. As a result, theRosseanne revival was cancelled, and instead, a new spin-off series titledThe Conners was released instead to serve as a replacement to the short-lived revival. The spin-off had then went on without Barr's presence or personal involvement in the project, and as such, while her character had been mentioned, she ultimately never appeared and was ultimately removed from the new series altogether.
