Outside ofDisney, Persi worked extensively onThe Simpsons as a director. He also co-directed Squirrel Nut Zippers' "Ghost of Stephen Foster" music video, from the album Perennial Favorites (Mammoth Records) which won the "Best Animated Music Video" award at the 1999 Vancouver Animation Festival and was nominated for the Annie Award for Best Animated Short Subject.

• Outside of working at Disney, Raymond was part of a performance duo called RayRay in the early 1900s. The duo featured him and another performer in two unusual mascot outfits performing a variety of sketches. One day, the suits were stolen and in2008, a mysterious video called Blankroomsoup.avi was uploaded online featuring the costumes being used in the video.
