During the 10-minute show, guests took on the role of rookie racer as they entered the theater and found themselves face-to-face withLightning McQueen, who appeared live on stage. With the entire audience enveloped by a giant, wrap-around screen that is nearly two stories tall and stretches more than 200 feet from end to end, pulling everyone into the action!
Lightning is anxious to showcase what he's learned over the years. But, things don't always go according to plan whenChick Hicks hacks into the simulator system to humiliate him, and he has to think fast to get back on course. Friends likeMater,Cruz Ramirez, and Lightning's pals fromRadiator Springs chime in with their support, as Lightning gears up for a challenge to finally settle the score with Chicks in a virtual race.
In the courtyard outside the attraction, guests would meet Cruz Ramirez and joinDJ's Dance Party, relocated fromCars Land.

Chick Hicks proclaims himself to be "the greatest racer of all time" because he won a Piston Cup in the first movie, even though his championship was a fluke since he got booed by his fans for his dirty actions.
When Chick summons clones to take out McQueen in a virtual race, this is a reference to Chick Hicks Takedown, a level in theCars 3 tie-in gameCars 3: Driven to Win, where the player must take out thousands of Chick Hicks clones.
