During theZero to Hero montage song, a blue Griffin working forHades was sent to try and defeatHercules alongside aMinotaur andStheno. He was defeated along with his accomplices via a punch to the face.
Hercules (TV series)[]

A Griffin going by the name of "Mr. Griff" appeared in the Hercules TV Series during the episodeHercules and the Griffin. He was an elderly Griffin that was tasked with guarding the first diamond ever crafted byHephaestus.
Merv Griffin[]
A Griffin named Merv Griffin — a self-voiced parody of the television personality — appeared in the Hercules episodeHercules and the Big Sink. He was an Athenian Griffin whom hosted his own talk-show.
Another Griffin appeared alongside a Dragon and aMinotaur to fight Hercules in the episodeHercules and the Arabian Night.

- In the Zero to Hero song, storyboards reveal that the Griffin was supposed to be replaced with a Giant Lobster.
- Griffins appear throughout the Hercules series with different appearances. In the movie, the Griffin was dark blue with red eyes and had feline paws, while the TV series made their color-schemes more eagle based with bird talons for hands and feet. The behavior of Griffins in the TV series was also less hostile.
