Dreamfinders
Dreamfinders was an unmade television show proposed for the originalDisney Channel line-up.
Based on theJourney Into Imagination attraction, it featuredDreamfinder (going under the alias Old Eli) andFigment taking children on adventures through the Realms of Imagination while avoiding a villain named Fear and his henchman Doubting Thomas and Monkeywrench and Fear's dark realm, the Bewilderness. Only three scripts were completed.
On theD23 website, Chief Archivist Emeritus, Dave Smith confirmed that the series was never filmed.[1]
According to screenwriter Doug Williams, who wrote the first episode, titled "Just in Time": "Just as the show was building a head of steam,Michael Eisner took over as head of Disney Studios and shut down production, for no apparent reason, other than that was/is common practice when there's a change of power."[2]
