Description[]
These gods inhabit a river canyon inAfrica (supposedly the Nile River in North Africa or the Congo River of the Congo Basin). There were at least two deities who inhabited a mysterious canyon: a fire god and a water god who caused a major conflict during the quarrel (in this case, fires and floods). They were part of theHong Kong version of theJungle River Cruise attraction since its opening day onSeptember 12,2005.

Appearances[]
Jungle River Cruise[]
During the climax of the attraction, the boats pass through an area known as the "Canyon of the Gods", where they navigate through various geysers within the canyon as one of the final scenes in theHong Kong Disneyland version of the attraction. The next landmark after that is the area inhabited by two elemental formations representing the gods of fire and water. As the boats stop, fire emerges from a formation to form the Fire God whose fire surrounds the boat, leaving the skipper and tourists unable to escape. Just as the fire continues to emerge, the Water God vanquishes the fire caused by the Fire God by using the element of water, finally extinguishing the fire, allowing the guests to leave. Guests were able to escape from the canyon in time.
Jungle River Cruise: Curse of the Emerald Trinity[]
The former Halloween overlay involved the gods using their powers to claim one of the three enchanted emeralds from the boats and their skipper, which they stole from the Temple of Immortality. The fire god attempts to destroy the boat as the skipper and the tourists are planning to escape from the fire just before the water god extinguishes the fire. Like in the original overlay, the guests were able to escape the canyon in time - albeit with the emerald.
