Lilo & Stitch is an upcoming American sci-fi comedy adventure film. It is a remake of the2002Disneyanimated feature film of the same name. It's being written by Chris Kekaniokalani Bright and is being directed by Dean Fleischer Camp. The project was announced in October2018, and principal photography began in spring2023. It will be released in theaters onMay 23,2025.

Premise
The film tells the story of "the bond formed between a lonely human girl named Lilo and a dog-like alien named Stitch, who is engineered to be a force of destruction. Pursuing aliens, social workers and the idea of the bond of family figure into the proceedings."
