Κατά την πολιορκία της Καλυδώνας από τους Κουρήτες, η Γόργη πολέμησε με αξιοθαύμαστη γενναιότητα. Παντρεύτηκε τον Ανδραίμονα και μαζί απέκτησαν τον Θόαντα. Μυθολογείται ακόμα ότι ο Δίας έκανε τον πατέρα της, τον Οινέα, να την ερωτευθεί και να αποκτήσει και από αυτή ένα γιο, τον Τυδέα. Μαζί με τις αδελφές της Μελεαγρίδες, θρηνώντας τον θάνατο του αδελφού τους, μεταμορφώθηκε από τη θεά Άρτεμι στα ομώνυμα πτηνά, τις Μελεαγρίδες όρνιθες. Ωστόσο, κατά παράκληση του θεού Διονύσου, η Γόργη και η Δηιάνειρα απέκτησαν και πάλι την ανθρώπινη μορφή τους. Ο Παυσανίας αναφέρει (Ι 38, 5) ότι ο τάφος της Γόργης και του Ανδραίμονα βρισκόταν στην Άμφισσα. 3. * Κόρη του Μεγαρέως και σύζυγος του Κορίνθου. Μόλις πληροφορήθηκε τον φόνο των παιδιών της, η Γόργη έπεσε στη λίμνη Εσχατιώτιν (σημερινή λίμνη Βουλιαγμένη) και πνίγηκε. Από τότε η λίμνη αυτή ονομάσθηκε Γοργώπις. (el)
