- El Festival del Bambuco en San Juan y San Pedro o anteriormente conocido como «Festival Folclórico, Reinado Nacional del Bambuco y Muestra Internacional del Folclor», es una de las fiestas más importantes del sur de Colombia, específicamente del departamento del Huila, cuya capital, Neiva, es la sede del festival. Se realizan en honor a San Juan y San Pedro. Se celebra a mediados del mes de junio hasta la primera semana de julio de cada año y atrae un considerable número de turistas colombianos y extranjeros. La tradición de la cultura opita se basa en su música y danzas folclóricas provenientes de las culturas precolombinas y de costumbres españolas. Las rondas san pedrinas, las comparsas, la gastronomía (Asado Huilense), los encuentros culturales y el aguardiente del departamento, son elementos enriquecedores de las festividades que han adquirido una identidad propia en el territorio que hoy corresponde al departamento del Huila.
