- La Leyenda de Dan-El o Aqhat es una antigua epopeya semítica occidental que narra la infructuosidad de la tierra durante los meses sin lluvia de verano, de la cual sólo se conocen fragmentos de tres tablillas que se encontraron en Ugarit (actualmente Ras Shamra), Siria y que datan del siglo XVI a. C. La leyenda relata el nacimiento de un príncipe llamado Dan-El, que siendo joven heredó un arco que era ambicionado por la diosa Anat y al tratar de robárselo, asesinó a Dan-El. Su muerte trajo hambruna y su padre y hermana salieron a vengarlo, pero en esa parte de la historia es donde se corta el texto, quedando incompleta la narración. * Datos: Q59924856 (es)
- The Tale of Aqhat or Epic of Aqhat is a Canaanite myth from Ugarit, an ancient city in what is now Syria. It is one of the three longest texts to have been found at Ugarit, the other two being the Legend of Keret and the Baal Cycle. It dates to approximately 1350 BCE. While the complete tale has not been preserved, there remain of it, according to David Wright, "approximately 650 poetic lines", with the bulk of its content concerning "ritual performances or their contexts". The remains of the story are found on three clay tablets, missing the beginning and end of the story. These tablets were discovered in 1930 and 1931. The Tale of Aqhat was recorded at Ugarit by the high priest Ilmilku, who was also the author of the Legend of Keret and the Baal Cycle. The three primary characters of the Tale are a man named Danel, his son Aqhat, and his daughter Paghat. (en)

Один із трьох великих текстів, що зберігся в уґаритській літературі, поруч із «Циклом про Ваала» та «Епосом про Керета». Твір записано близько . Цей твір, на відміну від історії про Керета, не стосується безпосередньо царського престолонаслідування, але наголошує на важливості сина для збереження роду. Герой епосу не Акхат, на честь якого твір названо, а Даніел — патріарх (можливо і цар), доброчесний і шанований, але котрий не має сина. Через це поему іноді називають «Епос про Даніела». (uk)
