The above table gives two representations of 48 different Chinese characters: the 'Reference' column contains a bitmap image of the characters, while the 'Your browser' column shows how your system renders the same characters when they appear in Chinese text. Hence on a properly configured system with appropriate fonts, these two columns should contain the same characters. If you see squares or blank spaces in the 'Your browser' column, your system does not support these characters; you will need to download and install a suitable font such as "Jigmo" for these to display.
Follow the instructions below to install the Jigmo font. You may need to restart your web browser (and in some cases, restart your operating system) for the change to take effect. Your web browser and operating system combination must also have working Unicode support (tested combinations include recent versions of Mac OS X with Chrome, Firefox, or Safari, and recent versions of Microsoft Windows with Chrome or Firefox).
Other operating systems such as Linux, and other web browsers will work provided that they fully support Unicode (and UTF-8). Pleasepost a message on the forums if you know of any useful setup advice for people using these platforms.
