dbd: Discretised Beta Distribution
Tools for working with a new versatilediscrete distribution, the db ("discretised Beta")distribution. This package provides density (probability),distribution, inverse distribution (quantile) and randomdata generation functions for the db family. It providesfunctions to effect conveniently maximum likelihoodestimation of parameters, and a variety of useful plottingfunctions. It provides goodness of fit tests and functionsto calculate the Fisher information, different estimates ofthe hessian of the log likelihood and Monte Carlo estimationof the covariance matrix of the maximum likelihood parameterestimates. In addition it provides analogous tools forworking with the beta-binomial distribution which has beenproposed as a competitor to the db distribution.
