5I called to theLORD in distress;e

theLORD answered me

and put me in a spacious place.f,g

6TheLORD is for me;I will not be afraid.

What can man do to me?h

7TheLORD is my helper,

Therefore,I will look in triumph on those who hate me.i

8It is better to take refuge in theLORD

than to trust in man.j

9It is better to take refuge in theLORD

than to trust in nobles.k

10All the nations surrounded me;

in the name of•Yahweh I destroyed them.l

11They surrounded me,yes,they surrounded me;

in the name of Yahweh I destroyed them.m

12They surrounded me like bees;n

they were extinguished like a fire among thorns;

in the name of Yahweh I destroyed them.o

13Youp pushed meq hard to make me fall,

but theLORD helped me.r

14TheLORD is my strength and my song;

He has become my salvation.s

15There are shouts of joy and victory

in the tents of the righteous:

“TheLORD’s right hand performs valiantly!t

16TheLORD’s right hand is raised.

TheLORD’s right hand performs valiantly! ”u

17I will not die,but I will live

and proclaim what theLORD has done.v

18TheLORD disciplined me severely

but did not give me over to death.w

19Open the gates of righteousness for me;

I will enter through them

and give thanks to theLORD.x

20This is the gate of theLORD;

the righteous will enter through it.y

21I will give thanks to You

because You have answered me

and have become my salvation.z

22The stone that the builders rejected

has become the cornerstone.aa

23This came from theLORD;

it is wonderful in our eyes.ab

24This is the day theLORD has made;

let us rejoice and be glad in it.ac

25LORD, save us!

LORD, please grant us success!ad

26He who comes in the name

Bind the festival sacrifice with cords
