(CBS) The Bears have placed Joe Anderson on the injured reserved list with an abdominal and groin injury, effectively ending the wide receiver's season.

Anderson, 24, appeared in six games for the Bears this season, recording one special teams tackle.

The 6-foot-1 Anderson has appeared in nine games over two seasons in Chicago. He has four special teams stops.
