Tell Monument^[1]

Tell,
an early chess program byJohann Joss, who already started chess programming in 1967 on aCDC 1604 A^[2]. It played the first twoWorld Computer Chess Championships, theWCCC 1974 inStockholm and theWCCC 1977 inToronto, and won the first German computer chess tournament, theFirst GI Computer Chess Tournament, 1975 inDortmund^[3][4]. Tell was a small and fast searcher for that time, running onHP 2100, HP 2115minicomputers, three to eightplies deep with around 100.000 nodes in three minutes^[5].
