Jean Hayes Michie[1]
Jean E. Hayes Michie (Jean E. Hayes-Michie, née Crouch, died in 2002),
was a British AI scientist, research associate atUniversity of Edinburgh, co-editor of theMachine Intelligence series[2], and Secretary of theTuring Trust since its inception in 1975[3]. Jean Hayes was the third wife ofDonald Michie, married in 1971. Her research interest coveredArtificial Intelligence andMachine Learning. Along withDavid Levy she reported on theFirst World Computer Chess Championship 1974 inStockholm. Jean Hayes Michie died from cancer in 2002[4].
