Freezer,
an endgame analysis tool byEiko Bleicher running underWindows able to generate restricted endgame databases with up to eight pieces or even more with blocked pawns, by relying onA priory information in the database generation process using six pieceNalimov Tablebases. User defined rules for piece-square combinations and material balance are essential to significantly reduce the number of total positions and generation time, otherwise restricted to 2^29 = 536,870,912 positions[1]. Freezer is commercial, first released in May 2005, and also available throughshredderchess.com[2].
