Aaron L. Futer,
a Russian mathematician and computer scientist. In the 70s at the Institute for System Studies (VNIISI) inMoscow, he researched on solving chess endgames, along withEdward Komissarchik on KQP(g7)KQ (1974), withVladimir Arlazarov onKRPKR (1976)[1][2]. Based onZermelo's justification[3] they appliedretrograde analysis, usingbitboards in coding the chess board.
