How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Make sure you realize the hardcover is for US students and soft cover is for international students
When I purchases this textbook, I decided to go with the paperback version as it is about $123 less than the hard cover. Little did I know that the paperback has at the top "This International Student Edition is for use outside the US." I am very frustrated because not only do I have to return this textbook when I have an exam coming up soon, but I also now must either pay the $190 for the hardcover or find this book somewhere else because for some odd reason the paperback version is not for US student use.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 5, 2021This is the same as the U.S version textbook. Also by far the best book for explanation compared to what i read in the past. Highly recommended over the rental one as you can highlight it and own it.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 30, 2020The book is well written and easy to understand. It's the textbook for my graduate class and has several chapters we won't cover for extra information.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 14, 2019Make sure this is the correct edition for your class. I ordered the wrong book since I didn't notice that this one is the International Student Edition.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 19, 2022Currently reading this book as part of an MBA program where I am concentrating in finance. This is arguably the worst academic text book I have ever read. The concepts introduced are interesting, but the authors do a poor job of keeping the readers engaged due to non stop technical terminology and computations which span multiple pages, sections of a chapter or other chapters entirely. Some values are actually calculated incorrectly. If reading out of curiosity, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. If you are reading this for class, get a jump start. Godspeed.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 24, 2019My son got this for his college course because it was a requirement. The instructor says it's awful and doesn't even use it. My son has read some of it and completely understands why. Before buying or renting this book you should definitely check to see if your professor is actually going to teach out of it.

5.0 out of 5 starsLearn not by Definition Instead by Pragmatism.!!!
This is an Intensively DYNAMIC & PRAGMATIC BOOK. You would have to be a Pragmatic Reader to Enjoy it as it’s full of Tasks and Problem Solving right from the start. If you LEARN BY DEFINITION then this book isn’t for you as you will not enjoy it as it’s an in-depth reader’s Book. One person found this helpfulReport - Louis-PhilippeReviewed in Canada on June 12, 2020
