8O tasteand seethat the LORDis good;How blessedis the manwho takesrefugein Him!
9O fearthe LORD,you His saints;For to those who fearHim thereis nowant.
10The younglionsdo lackand sufferhunger;But they who seekthe LORDshall not be in wantof anygoodthing.
11Come,you children,listento me; I will teachyou the fearof the LORD.
12Whois the manwho desireslifeAnd loves[length of] daysthat he may seegood?
13Keepyour tonguefrom evilAnd your lipsfrom speakingdeceit.
14Departfrom eviland dogood;Seekpeaceand pursueit.
15The eyesof the LORDare towardthe righteousAnd His earsare [open] to their cry.
16The faceof the LORDis against evildoers,To cutoffthe memoryof them from the earth.
17[The righteous] cry,and the LORDhearsAnd deliversthem out of alltheir troubles.
18The LORDis nearto the brokenheartedAnd savesthose whoare crushedin spirit.
19Manyare the afflictionsof the righteous,But the LORDdelivershim out of them all.
20He keepsallhis bones,Not oneof them is broken.
21Evilshall slaythe wicked,And those who hatethe righteouswill be condemned.
22The LORDredeemsthe soulof His servants,And noneof those who takerefugein Him will be condemned.
