The Mighty One Calls
1{{A Psalmof Asaph.}} The mightyGod,[even] the LORD,hath spoken,and calledthe earthfrom the risingof the sununto the going downthereof.
2Out of Zion,the perfectionof beauty,Godhath shined.
3Our Godshall come,and shall not keep silence:a fireshall devourbeforehim, and it shall be verytempestuousround abouthim.
4He shall callto the heavensfrom above,and to the earth,that he may judgehis people.
5Gathermy saintstogether unto me; those that have madea covenantwith me by sacrifice.
6And the heavensshall declarehis righteousness:for God[is] judgehimself. Selah.
7Hear,O my people,and I will speak;O Israel,and I will testifyagainst thee: I [am] God,[even] thy God.
8I will not reprovethee for thy sacrificesor thy burnt offerings,[to have been] continuallybefore me.
9I will takeno bullockout of thy house,[nor] he goatsout of thy folds.
10For every beastof the forest[is] mine, [and] the cattleupon a thousandhills.
11I knowall the fowlsof the mountains:and the wild beastsof the field[are] mine.
12If I were hungry,I would not tellthee: for the world[is] mine, and the fulnessthereof.
13Will I eatthe fleshof bulls,or drinkthe bloodof goats?
14Offerunto Godthanksgiving;and paythy vowsunto the most High:
15And callupon me in the dayof trouble:I will deliverthee, and thou shalt glorifyme.
16But unto the wickedGodsaith,What hast thou to do to declaremy statutes,or [that] thou shouldest takemy covenantin thy mouth?
17Seeing thou hatestinstruction,and castestmy wordsbehindthee.
18When thou sawesta thief,then thou consentedstwith him, and hast been partakerwith adulterers.
19Thou givestthy mouthto evil,and thy tongueframethdeceit.
20Thou sittest[and] speakestagainst thy brother;thouslanderestthine own mother'sson.
21These [things] hast thou done,and I kept silence;thou thoughtestthat I was altogether[such an one] as thyself: [but] I will reprovethee, and set [them] in orderbefore thine eyes.
22Now considerthis, ye that forgetGod,lest I tear [you] in pieces,and [there be] none to deliver.
23Whoso offerethpraiseglorifiethme: and to him that ordereth[his] conversation[aright] will I shewthe salvationof God.
