O Lord, My God, You Are Very Great
1Blessthe LORD,O my soul.O LORDmy God,thou art verygreat;thou art clothedwith honourand majesty.
2Who coverest[thyself] with lightas [with] a garment:who stretchest outthe heavenslike a curtain:
3Who layeth the beamsof his chambersin the waters:who makeththe cloudshis chariot:who walkethupon the wingsof the wind:
4Who makethhis angelsspirits;his ministersa flamingfire:
5[Who] laidthe foundationsof the earth,[that] it should not be removedfor ever.
6Thou coveredstit with the deepas [with] a garment:the watersstoodabove the mountains.
7Atthy rebukethey fled;at the voiceof thy thunderthey hastedaway.
8They go upby the mountains;they go downby the valleysunto the placewhichthou hast foundedfor them.
9Thou hast seta boundthat they may not pass over;that they turn not againto coverthe earth.
10He sendeththe springsinto the valleys,[which] runamong the hills.
11They give drinkto every beastof the field:the wild assesquenchtheir thirst.
12By them shall the fowlsof the heavenhave their habitation,[which] singamongthe branches.
13He watereththe hillsfrom his chambers:the earthis satisfiedwith the fruitof thy works.
14He causeth the grassto growfor the cattle,and herbfor the serviceof man:that he may bring forthfoodout of the earth;
15And wine[that] maketh gladthe heartof man,[and] oilto make [his] faceto shine,and bread[which] strengthenethman'sheart.
16The treesof the LORDare full[of sap]; the cedarsof Lebanon,which he hath planted;
17Where the birdsmake their nests:[as for] the stork,the fir trees[are] her house.
18The highhills[are] a refugefor the wild goats;[and] the rocksfor the conies.
19He appointedthe moonfor seasons:the sunknowethhis going down.
20Thou makestdarkness,and it is night:wherein all the beastsof the forestdo creep[forth].
21The young lionsroarafter their prey,and seektheir meatfrom God.
22The sunariseth,they gather themselves together,and lay them downin their dens.
23Mangoeth forthunto his workand to his labouruntil the evening.
24O LORD,how manifoldare thy works!in wisdomhast thou madethem all: the earthis fullof thy riches.
25[So is] this greatand widesea,wherein [are] things creepinginnumerable,both smalland greatbeasts.
26There gothe ships:[there is] that leviathan,[whom] thou hast madeto playtherein.
27These waitall upon thee; that thou mayest give[them] their meatin due season.
28[That] thou givestthem they gather:thou openestthine hand,they are filledwith good.
29Thou hidestthy face,they are troubled:thou takest awaytheir breath,they die,and returnto their dust.
30Thou sendestforth thy spirit,they are created:and thou renewestthe faceof the earth.
31The gloryof the LORDshall endure for ever:the LORDshall rejoicein his works.
32He lookethon the earth,and it trembleth:he toucheththe hills,and they smoke.
33I will singunto the LORDas long as I live:I will singpraise to my Godwhile I have my being.
34My meditationof him shall be sweet:I will be gladin the LORD.
35Let the sinnersbe consumedout of the earth,and let the wickedbe no more. Blessthou the LORD,O my soul.Praiseye the LORD.
