(Genesis 19:1-11) 1And GodrememberedNoah,and every living thing,and all the cattlethat [was] with him in the ark:and Godmadea windto passoverthe earth,and the watersasswaged;2The fountainsalso of the deepand the windowsof heavenwere stopped,and the rainfrom heavenwas restrained;3And the watersreturnedfrom off the earthcontinually:and after the endof the hundredand fiftydaysthe waterswere abated.4And the arkrestedin the seventhmonth,on the seventeenthdayof the month,upon the mountainsof Ararat.5And the watersdecreasedcontinuallyuntilthe tenthmonth:in the tenth[month], on the first[day] of the month,were the topsof the mountainsseen. Noah Sends a Raven and a Dove 6And it came to pass at the endof fortydays,that Noahopenedthe windowof the arkwhich he had made:7And he sent fortha raven,which went forthtoand fro,until the waterswere dried upfrom off the earth.8Also he sent fortha dovefrom him, to seeif the waterswere abatedfrom off the faceof the ground;9But the dovefoundno restfor the soleof her foot,and she returnedunto him into the ark,for the waters[were] on the faceof the whole earth:then he put forthhis hand,and took her,and pulled her inunto him into the ark.10And he stayedyet othersevendays;and againhe sent forththe doveout of the ark;11And the dovecame into him in the evening;and, lo, in her mouth[was] an oliveleafpluckt off:so Noahknewthat the waterswere abatedfrom off the earth.12And he stayedyet othersevendays;and sent forththe dove;which returnednot againunto him any more. Exiting the Ark 13And it came to pass in the sixhundredthand first year,in the first[month], the first[day] of the month,the waterswere dried upfrom off the earth:and Noahremovedthe coveringof the ark,and looked,and, behold, the faceof the groundwas dry.14And in the secondmonth,on the sevenand twentiethdayof the month,was the earthdried.15And Godspakeunto Noah,saying,16Go forthof the ark,thou, and thy wife,and thy sons,and thy sons'wiveswith thee.17Bring forthwith thee every living thingthat [is] with thee, of all flesh,[both] of fowl,and of cattle,and of every creeping thingthat creepethupon the earth;that they may breed abundantlyin the earth,and be fruitful,and multiplyupon the earth.18And Noahwent forth,and his sons,and his wife,and his sons'wiveswith him:19Every beast,every creeping thing,and every fowl,[and] whatsoevercreepethupon the earth,after their kinds,went forthout of the ark. Noah Builds an Altar 20And Noahbuildedan altarunto the LORD;and tookof every cleanbeast,and of every cleanfowl,and offeredburnt offeringson the altar.21And the LORDsmelleda sweetsavour;and the LORDsaidinhis heart,I will not againcursethe groundany more for man'ssake;for the imaginationof man'sheart[is] evilfrom his youth;neither will I againsmiteany more every thing living,as I have done. 22While the earthremaineth,seedtimeand harvest,and coldand heat,and summerand winter,and dayand nightshall not cease. |
