(Acts 4:23-31)
Why do the heathenrage, and the peopleimaginea vain thing?
The kingsof the earthsetthemselves, and the rulerstake counseltogether, against the LORD,and against his anointed,[saying],
Let us breaktheir bandsasunder, and cast awaytheir cordsfrom us.
He that sittethin the heavensshall laugh:the Lordshall have them in derision.
Then shall he speakunto them in his wrath, and vexthem in his sore displeasure.
Yet have I setmy kingupon my holyhillof Zion.
I will declarethe decree:the LORDhath saidunto me, Thou [art] my Son;this dayhave I begottenthee.
Askof me, and I shall give[thee] the heathen[for] thine inheritance, and the uttermost partsof the earth[for] thy possession.
Thou shalt breakthem with a rodof iron;thou shalt dash them in pieceslike a potter'svessel.
Be wisenow therefore, O ye kings:be instructed,ye judgesof the earth.
Servethe LORDwith fear,and rejoicewith trembling.
Kissthe Son,lest he be angry, and ye perish[from] the way, when his wrathis kindledbut a little.Blessed[are] all they that put their trustin him.
